Home2 Suites by Hilton® Opens Urban Property in Nashville

Property partners with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to benefit local children’s hospital with a “Give Back 5%” program

Home2 Suites by Hilton, the award-winning mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand designed for modern business travelers and extended-stay guests, announced the opening of its ninth U.S. hotel in Nashville, Tenn. The Home2 Suites Nashville/Vanderbilt is located in the heart of the "Music City," and is the first property for the brand in the state. The hotel joins eight other Home2 Suites already open in Fayetteville, N.C., Layton, Utah, Baltimore, Md., San Antonio, Texas, West Valley City, Utah, North Charleston, S.C., Lexington Park, Md.; and Jacksonville, N.C. The first guest to check-in today received a Nashville-themed gift basket.

The seven-story, 119-suite hotel is located at 1800 Division Street, Nashville, Tenn., only steps away from Music Row and near Vanderbilt University and downtown Nashville. The property is owned by Apple REIT Nine, Inc. and managed by Vista Host Inc.  Neighboring local attractions include the Country Music Hall of Fame, LP Field and Centennial Park, and there are more than fifty restaurants within a one mile radius of the property.    

The Nashville property features a game room, which includes two gaming screens and a WiiTM, Xbox 360TM Kinect and Playstation® 3.  The game room includes an eclectic mix of seating and plays off the brand's Oasis lobby area. The property is also the first Home2 Suites to feature an indoor whirlpool measuring 44 feet in length.  The hotel offers easy access to technology and bright, inviting community spaces, as well as the trademark Home2 Suites amenities standard in all properties, such as the in-room working wall and "Inspired Table" complimentary breakfast.

To mark the opening, the property has partnered with Vanderbilt University to benefit the local children's hospital with a "Give Back 5%" program.  Through the end of December, five percent of all room revenue generated from the university's guests will be donated to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. 

Home2 Suites by Hilton currently operates nine hotels and has nearly 70 properties in its development pipeline. The brand currently has 10 properties under active construction in Biloxi, Miss.; Frisco, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Oxford, Ala.; Huntsville, Ala.; Jackson/Ridgeland, Miss.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Rahway, N.J.; Baltimore, Md.; and Columbus, Georgia.  Future properties are slated for many of the nation's major markets, including Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Denver.  Home2 Suites also is approved for expansion into Canada and Mexico.
