Home2 Suites By Hilton® Breaks Ground On First Joint Hotel Property In Huntsville, Alabama

Brand Partners with Hampton Inn & Suites on Milestone Property

MCLEAN, Va. - Home2 Suites by Hilton, a mid-tier, extended stay brand, today hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for the brand's first joint or dual build property with Hampton Inn & Suites in Huntsville, Ala. The hotel will house two distinct brands under one roof, the 78-suite Home2 Suites and a 97-room Hampton Inn & Suites, to cater to diverse market segments and offer enhanced amenities. The hotel is being developed by Alabama-based LBA Hospitality, a group of companies providing comprehensive hotel development and management services. It is expected to open in the fall of 2013.

The four-story, 175-room hotel complex will feature shared meeting spaces, pool facilities and a joint fitness center that can be enjoyed by guests of both brands. This is the first dual build property for Home2 Suites, which currently operates seven hotels, has nine under construction and a strong development pipeline of 60 planned properties.

Located at 7010 Unit #3, Governor's West Drive in Huntsville, Ala., the hotel will service business travelers visiting Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing centers and retail corporations located in the area. Huntsville is also home to the Army's Redstone Arsenal, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, and Cummings Research Park, among other industries.  The hotel also will cater to tourists visiting the area's many attractions, including the Huntsville Botanical Garden, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, and the Alabama Constitution Village, among others.
